Treasure Valley Rotary Clubs Care for the Earth - THREE weekends in a row!
Best way to beat the isolation blues??? Join your friends outdoors and improve your community!

Before the stricter restrictions were announced, Treasure Valley Rotary clubs were busy caring for the Earth. On November 6 and 8 Nampa, Eagle/Garden City, Meridian, Treasure Valley Rotaract, Boise Centennial, Boise Downtown, Boise East, Boise Metro, Boise Southwest, and Boise Sunrise all gathered to dig-up and transplant 600 seedlings into the proposed Willow Lanes Rotary Peace Restoration Habitat. On the following weekends, November 14 AND November 21, Boise Downtown, Boise East, and Boise Southwest raked leaves for the elderly, disabled, and those in need.

Just to out-do the rest of us, Eagle/Garden City helped transplant 600 seedlings on Tuesday, November 8 AFTER spending Saturday, November 7 cleaning the section of highway they adopted! Note the retina-burning vests & orange trash bags. No more hubcaps, cigarette butts, candy wrappers, metal, and plastic trash on that section of Highway 44!  Although the small club typically focuses on service projects focused on supporting youth, they understand that earth stewardship leaves a lasting legacy to young people.
