I am sure everyone has been waiting with baited breath to hear who the official winner of the District 5060 photo contest is, so wait no more!!!!!

The Winner is Max Mosely of Kelowna Sunrise for this beauty.  The picture features Bill Reynolds and his lovely wife  Joanne, both are Rotarians in the Kelowna area and Bill is even his club’s president.  The picture was chosen for the public image banner because I believe it captures what Rotary is about; good people working together, happily to make their communities better and because the file was high enough quality to allow it to be printed on a large scale.

This is another from Kelowna Sunrise
...and this one features AG Kathy Corlis & Rotarians from Prosser.
Though not submitted for consideration they have a great facebook page and a ton of great photos!
I also liked this one from Leavenworth...
and this one from Lake Country.

There were lots of great photos of lots of great people.
What have I learned through this exercise you ask?
  1. Rotarians are stunningly good looking
  2. Rotarians are not afraid of having wine when they are dressed up and eating dinner
  3. Max knows how to brew a pot of tea and being a policeman in the UK is not like it appears on Coronation Street
  4. Some of our webpages are easy to find and have great content
  5. Some of our webpages are impossible to find
  6. Some of our webpages are pretty lame
The take home message? Make your website great! If not for the public, for your members. Tell your story!
Thanks to everyone who submitted photos and to Craig and Dianne Garries at PostNet West Kelowna for helping me with my creative vision and printing the great banners.
