Pollo (Spanish for “chicken”) for Polio will be featured at the West Allis Farmer’s Market on Saturday, October 24 from 1:00-4:00.  The Rotary Club of West Allis and their satellite club will be present having the polio video, “Drop to Zero” running, greeting visitors to the farmer’s market, and food trucks will be present.  The food trucks have been asked to donate 10% of their revenue for that day to help battle polio.  An informational booth, educating the public about the Rotary Club of West Allis will be on site along with a donation container.  Rotary’s world partners are WHO, UNICEF, CDE, GAVI, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.  For each dollar donated, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will match two to one.  Rotarians have donated over $2 billion dollars worldwide over the last 40 years. We also plan to have the polio website address available for people to donate online.  Please stop by and visit us.
