Kenneth Lee Beardsley, 83 years, of Overland Park, KS, passed away on February 8, 2017 suffering from Lewy Body Parkinson’s Disease. Services will be held at the Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS on February 13, 2017. Visitation from 10:00-11:00 am. Service at 11:00 am. Private burial in the Bonner Spring Cemetery.
 
Ken was born March 5, 1933 in Russell, KS, to Lloyd & Frances (Shaver) Beardsley. He graduated from the University of Kansas, was a Lambda Chi Alpha, and a lifetime member of K. U. Alum. Association. He married Marcia (Hininger), his college sweetheart on Oct. 8,1955, and they has two daughters, Jennifer Fales (John) and Allyson Di Nitto (Martin). He has four grandchildren, Brent Fales (Larkin), Ashlea Fales, Elizabeth McKittrick (Stephen), Christopher Di Nitto and one Great granddaughter,, Kailynn Fales. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea & in the Reserves. He retired as a Captain. He retired from Harcros Chemical Co. after 35 years as the Brand Sales Manager & Regional Director.
 
Ken was a 35 year member of the K.C. Rotary Club #13 & a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a 60 year member of the Masons. He was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Nelson Gallery Friends of Art. He loved to read & travel. He traveled the 50 states, six continents & five oceans.
