While Club 13 has an energized and dynamic Membership Committee, membership growth is not just the responsibility of a committee but rather the responsibility of every Club member.  We all know that membership is the lifeblood of our organization and that a strong, robust club can have more impact within our local and world community.

We are reaching out to EACH of you to please ASK at least one person to join Club 13.  We have so much to offer!

Club 13 now offers three types of membership: Traditional Lunch, Organizational and Satellite.

Traditional Lunch members enjoy weekly lunches networking with fellow Rotarians and hearing outstanding speakers plus the opportunity for support of the Rotary Youth Camp, local community service projects and international service.

Organizational members are CEO’s and Executive Directors who want their organization, not-for profit or company to participate in Rotary but they personally do not have the time for weekly lunches.  The primary member (CEO or ED) designates two people from their staff to attend luncheon meetings when possible.  With this type of membership, it is possible for the organization to have a frequent representative at Rotary lunch.

Satellite members attend monthly after-hours meetings for fellowship, networking and information on service projects. There will be an emphasis on Rotary service at the meetings with Satellite members encouraged to participate each month in service projects. The inaugural Satellite Club meeting will be on Tuesday, October 23rd and will meet on the 4th Tuesday of each month, 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM.

The Community Service Community has many, many service projects planned and there are at least two projects every month.  With so many projects offered, Rotarians can choose those activities that meet their own interests and schedules.  The Rotary motto is Service Above Self and we now have plenty of opportunity for both current members and new members.

In the past, many of you have ASKed someone to join Rotary and they may have responded that they would welcome the service projects but just “don’t have the time to attend meetings.”  We’ve solved that problem with the three types of membership and even the busy CEO or the over-scheduled young professional can join Rotary.

Rotary International supports these types of members, no longer requires weekly attendance and realizes that many people today have the heart and spirit of a Rotarian but not the calendar time to spend at meetings. Club 13 is now offering these three types of membership to better serve our community.

EACH of you likely knows someone who would be a terrific Rotarian – a family member, someone in your office, a neighbor, a good friend.  Please ASK them to join and offer the type of membership that fits their business and family life.  Please participate in the Club 13 EACH ONE – ASK ONE campaign!
