Spell-Off Party Sponsored by Literacy Committee

It’s time for the annual Literacy Kansas City Corporate Spelling Bee, and we need donors and sharp spellers to compete in the citywide event Friday, April 28, at UMKC. It’s all for the benefit of Literacy Kansas City, an organization dedicated to reducing adult illiteracy through a variety of programs and services.

Our party helps us raise funds for our $3,000 entry fee that enables us to compete in the corporate bee. We’ll begin with spirited beverages and hors d’oeuvres. Those interested in being on Rotary’s four-member spelling team then compete in a spell-off. (Non-Rotarians can compete as well.)

Every cent of your $100 contribution goes to Literacy Kansas City. If you wish to attend or just contribute, please make out your check to Kansas City Rotary Club Foundation (include Spell-Off in the memo line) and give it to Barbara Dolci or Mandy. If you pay at the door, we MUST have your reservation by Feb. 17.
