Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA)
William Wood University - Fulton, Missouri
Session 1: Sunday, June 27th - Wednesday, June 30th
Session 2: Sunday, July 11 - Wednesday, July 14

Missouri RYLA academy is a 4-day, 3-night leadership academy for high school juniors and sophomores (incoming sophomores/juniors fall of 2020) who exhibit a desire for community service. Developed by some of Missouri's top educators, the curriculum is designed to identify and enhance the qualities of servant leadership for each participant, educate them on how to successfully implement a service project, and inspire them to live a lifetime of "Service Above Self." In addition, participants are introduced to the programs and values Rotary has to offer. www.MissouriRYLA.com

In 2021, the Youth Services Committee expects that it has the funds necessary to sponsor 3-4 students. We ask that Plaza Rotarians to help us identify worthy candidates, donate towards tuition and support fundraising efforts like the golf tournament that enables us to sponsor these young men and women. Attached is an application that will enable us to assess and select the students. Please note that students will need to confirm their availability for either of the two sessions and arrange their own transport to William Woods University in Fulton, MO.

An email will be sent out to the Plaza Rotary members with the RYLA application for candidates.

RYLA student nomination deadline is February 28. Students will be selected and notified by the end of March. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call or email Therese McGill, 913-485-5151, theresemcgill@icloud.com
