  • Session 1 and Session 3 - Community America Ballpark, Kansas City

We are one month into our new Rotary year, and we have a NEW way for Rotarians to participate in the Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI). The first and last sessions of RLI will be conducted as we have in the past – on Saturdays at Community America Ballpark in Kansas City, Kansas (Home of the T-Bones!) – thanks to our DG Adam Ehlert hosting us.

The second session will be held ONLINE in two 2-hour week night evenings. You will be able to participate in this session from the comfort of your home or wherever in the world you are.

The Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) is for both “new” as well as “seasoned” Rotarians. The RLI focuses on: the purpose and structure of Rotary, attracting members, and how to improve their (and your) Rotary experience, local and international service projects, and team building and effective leadership strategies

RLI is open to any Rotarian who is interested in learning more about our amazing organization. Besides net-working and exchanging ideas with other Rotarians, attending will enhance your knowledge of all facets of Rotary and how it works.
The first of the three sessions of the next RLI class will be offered on Saturday, September 9th at Community America Ballpark from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. Your facilitators will be Tom Gray from the Leavenworth Club and our district governor elect, Blanche Parks from the Downtown Topeka Club.

The second session will be held ONLINE on Tuesday, September 19th and October 10th. Both of these sessions will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 pm facilitated by Neil Wakefield from the Village West Club assisted by Chuck Udell from Leawood. Instructions on how to access the online portal will be sent to participant’s prior to the first online session. And, our third session will held back at Community America Ballpark on Saturday, October 21st from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. DeEtte Lombard and Ellen Bogdan, both from the Leavenworth Club will facilitate.

The cost to attend is $90.00 which includes all sessions including lunch at Sessions I and II plus a RLI notebook. Money will be collected during the first session.
