Canton Rotarians,

Thanks to all of you for an in incredibly enjoyable holiday meeting last Friday. It was heart-warming to see everyone having such a fun time. (Editor's note: Heather Cooper, organist at Christ Presbyterian Church, gave a fantastic performance for us, as well!)

The desserts for our Sweet Treat Raffle were fantastic and the fact that so many of you participated was uplifting. We did this event a couple of years ago.  At that time, we had more attendees and more desserts, but this time we raised more money.  That it such a powerful statement. Nothing discourages this group. You helped raise $750.00 which will be donated to the tornado relief efforts in Mayfield, KY. Many thanks to all who participated in one way or another, and a special thanks to Becky, Jennie, and Drew.

Thanks to Steve Fettman and his Philomatheon Society for allowing us to participate in the holiday lunch and gift distribution (see photo). Tracie and I had a wonderful time. The appreciation and excitement of the recipients found a place in our hearts. We look forward to participating again next year.

Please remember that there is no meeting this Friday or next Friday, but we will be back together for lunch after the first of the year.

I wish you all the warmest of holiday wishes, and hope that you can enjoy memorable moments with your friends and family during this time. We all have so much to be thankful for and I believe the holidays provide us an opportunity to spend less time thinking about what we want, and more time focused on appreciating what we have. May your focus bring you lasting smiles and joy.

Yours,

President Mark
