Weekly Club News Update!

Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday there was no meeting last week. I hope you all had an enjoyable, restful, and thankful few days. Yes the 49ers lost to their main rival, my Cougars were beaten by the Huskies in the Apple Cup, and I know Michigan fans were not pleased with the outcome of their game with Ohio State. It was rivalry week for a lot of college teams so I hope your team did well.
This week’s meeting is a special one for the Club as we host our annual Speech Contest. Students from our local high schools compete with the winner advancing to the next round. The contest allows students to test and improve their speaking abilities while in front of a group of adults and we always seem to be surprised by how well they do. The meeting will be attended by the student’s parents, school teachers/administrators, and the panel of judges. Let’s show our support for our local students.
Invitation went out for the Clubs Holiday Dinner on 18 Dec and an e-mail blast will go shortly for those that might not keep their Clubrunner address up to date. Please respond by e-mail or call me if you plan to attend.

This will be the last meeting at the Bay Club for the calendar year. The following week is Christmas for Kids at Lexus of Stevens Creek and on Dec. 18 the Holiday dinner will be at the Hilton in Santa Clara. We will be Dark for the last two weeks of December.
