A Lens on the Outside

Dylan Buell graduated from Marquette High School and attended Ball State University. While there, he worked as a photographer for the school newspaper, the Daily News. Two days after graduating, he began working for The State Journal, a newspaper in Frankfort, Kentucky. 

While working in Kentucky, he began to cover sporting events for Getty Images, ranging from The Kentucky Derby, the NFL, and college basketball. After nearly four years in Kentucky, he moved to the Milwaukee/Chicago area a year ago to continue his work with Getty Images. He now travels the country, covering sporting events of all types and levels. 

He has won several awards during his time in college and Kentucky. His work has been featured in Sports Illustrated, People, L.A. Times, and online in several publications such as Forbes, ESPN, and the Chicago Tribune. Sporting events he's covered include MLB games, including last year's World Series, NFL regular season and playoffs, and the NCAA Tournament.
