Lancaster-Lebanon Literacy Council

Cheryl Hiester has been working in the field of adult literacy and basic education for 30 years and in the nonprofit sector for more than15 years. She currently service as as the Executive Director of The Literacy Council of Lancaster/Lebanon. Cheryl is a member of the PA  Association for Adult Continuing Education (PAACE) Board of Directors, serving as the the Chair of the Public Policy and Advocacy Committee. Due to PAACE's state level advocacy work, the field of Adult and Family Literacy Education received the first funding increase in 12 years. Cheryl has presented at local, state and national conference on topics related to adult education, nonprofit leadership,and advocacy.
