Mission of the United Way

Kate Zimmerman is the President and CEO of United Way of Lancaster County. Prior to her role with United Way, Kate led Leadership Lancaster,a community leadership development program.

Kate is the co-chair of the Coalition for Sustainable Housingg, the Board President of the Manheim Township Educational Foundation, a member of the Lancaster Lebanon Habitat for Humanity Governance Committee, the Homelessness Coalition Steering Committee, and the Partnership for Public Health Board of Directors.

Kate has a degree in Political Science. is a 2009 graduate of Leadership Lancaster, holds a certificate in fundraising from the Indiana School of Philanthropy, and is a certified board governance consultant.

Kate lives in Manheim Township with her two children, her husband, and their pets.
