The masters of suspense await you on April 25 at the historic Stanford Theatre in Palo Alto!  We'll start with a VIP tour of the theater followed by a 6:05 p.m. screening of the Oscar nominated film-noir thriller, The Window (1949).  Staring Bobby Discoll and Barbara Hale, this film follows the story of a 9 year old Manhatten boy who falls asleep on a fire escape and witnesses - you guessed it - a murder!   And - to mix things up a little - we are once again joining forces with the Palo Alto Rotary and University Club for this fun event.

Meet: We'll meet at the Stanford Theatre at 5 p.m. sharp.

Tour: At 5:15 p.m., we'll go on a fascinating tour led by Cyndi Mortinen, the Packard Foundation - Stanford Theatre manager.

Cost:  Buy your movie tickets at the box office: $7 regular ticket, $5 for seniors

Dinner: We'll be grabbing dinner after the show if you'd like to join.  You can opt for Cafe 220 for  fresh mediterranean food, or go old school with Pizza My Heart, both near to the theater.

Parking: Parking is free at the High Street Garage, two blocks away at 528 High St.

Wanna Hear the Organ?  If you are a movie fanatic, then stick around for the 7:30 show, NIght of the Hunger, starring Robert Mitchum and Shelley Winters, and directed by Charles Laughton. And the best part? You get to hear the Mighty Wurlitzer Organ!  It plays during the intermissions before and after the 7:30 show.  You can use your admission ticket for both shows.
