WALKFEST is now ROTARY WALKS!

WALKFEST is now ROTARY WALKS! It was time for
a fresh start and over three dozen new names were suggested by
individual club members from across our district.
Our new name is simple and direct: it lets people know who we
are and what we are doing! ROTARY WALKS will be raising funds this
year for three North Jersey animal rescue organizations: the Raptor
Trust, St. Hubert’s Animal Rescue and the Barnyard Sanctuary. Fifty
percent of the pledges will go your club’s choice (any or all) of the
above listed animal welfare charities, while the other fifty percent will
go back to your Rotary club’s 501c3 fund or a 501c3 charitable effort
you designate either locally or perhaps the Rotary Foundation, meeting
your pledge and building Paul Harris credits. It’s your choice.
ROTARY WALKS will take place at Loantaka Brook Reservation,
South Street, Morristown, NJ on Sunday May 6 th at 9:00 AM. Preregistration
prior to April 21ist will be the same as last year, $20, per
walker, $15 for seniors and students; on or after April 21st or on site it
will be $25 and $20 for students and seniors. A continental breakfast
and picnic lunch will be complimentary to all registered walkers. In
addition to individual pledges for ROTARY WALKS, sponsorships are a
key way we raise funds. Sponsorship opportunities forms for local
businesses and professionals will be available shortly on our website as
