Several Rotarians recently enjoyed a private skeet shoot at the country home of North Shore Rotarian, Dr. Shirley Ellisor and her husband Don.  The event was a live auction item, donated by the Ellisors, to the 2013 North Shore Rotary Catfish Fry and Crawfish Boil Fundraiser held back in May of 2013.  Rotarians, Bill Palko, Scott Stephens, Ryan Dagley and Bill Bowes joined forces, and wallets, to place the winning bid.  Bill Bowes was unable to make the event.

The highlight of the event was a skeet shooting contest between those in the photo. Scott and Bill Palko tied for first place. After the shoot Shirley treated everyone to a wonderful home cooked meal and gave each Rotarian a home cooked pecan pie to take home.

Dr. Ellisor has been a contributing member of the Rotary Club of North Shore for a number of years and gives generously of her time and resources in support of our club and to Rotary.  Shirly and Don are active members in our community and they are true examples of what Rotary stands for.

The group asked the Ellisors to consider donating a skeet shoot to next year's Rotary fundraiser and if they do, it will be another special time for some lucky bidder.  Bill Palko stated "We all had a great time with the Ellisors and their hospitality was a true example of Texas style food and fun with guns".
