The Rotary Club of North Shore in association with U.S. Representative Gene Green will hold  an Annual Vaccination Day on Saturday, Aug 24, 2013 at Galena Park Senior High School from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm.  This annual community event provides free vaccinations and school supplies to school age children in the Northshore, Galena Park and Channelview area.

School age children under 18 years of age can get all the vaccines they need for the school year as well as backpacks and school supplies on a first come, first serve basis.  We will be handing out approximately 700 sets of backpacks and school supplies until we run out.

The Rotary Club of North Shore has donated all of the funds this year except for a donation of $300.00 from the Houston Skyline Club and a pending Rotary District 5890 grant for $2,000.00.  The club has been helping U.S. Representative Gene Green with this annual vaccination day for over 10 years.  We usually vaccinate 600-700 children every year and give out over 1,000 vaccines on an annual basis.

All volunteers should be at the high school by 8:30 am to help pack up the school supplies and assist in handing them out to the kids.  For more information contact Dr. Donald Nino or email Bill Parker at bill@abletek.com.

The address for this event is Galena Park Senior High School, 1000 Keene St., Galena Park, TX 77547 and the event runs from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 24th.
