Twas September 28th, their last chance. Eight brave souls from Vancouver Island, BC and northern Washington State, District 5020, quietly gathered with a variety of friends ‘yes’, from District 7820, and set sail with trackers from the River Runner company to tackle the tidal bore on the Shubenacedie River. There was the odd Rotary Exchange Student in the mix as well. One could not have asked for a better day.
