ImageImageMotivational speaker, Peter Davison, from Halifax was the main attraction at the Fellowship evening attended by six valley Rotary clubs on Monday night, Sept. 9th, at the Port Williams Community Centre.  Peter spoke about the importance of engaging your mind, body, heart and spirit to live a more rewarding and positive life.  He says it is possible to avoid “stinkin’ thinkin’” and develop a “gratitude attitude” by choosing to think and act more positively.  Peter, who suffers from early onset Parkinsons, gave some wonderful examples and stories from his own life.  He brought along some red, foam clown noses for everyone, which, he says, are particularly effective for lightening a mood and encouraging laughter.  It worked very well with the Rotary crowd.

Peter commented that the “noble cause” which follows from the kind of grateful and positive thinking that he described, results in the giving back to community and society i.e. “Service Above Self” which Rotary exemplifies.
