President's Club:

Mark and Eva-Martin Long joined to honor Suzi and contribute to the clock in her honor going up at Town Center.

April Bignell joined to report on the success of the JW House dinner program. Over the last 6 months, 21 Cupertino Rotarians have served over 154 meals at JW house to support the families. April is hoping for even more support in the next 6 months as we grow our work on behalf of this excellent cause

Chuck Harper and Georgey Tyson joined to provide an update on of our other partner organizations. WVCS. George introduced the interim director- Joanne Davis- and informed the club about the upcoming Chefs of Compassion on September 18th at the Computer History Musuem in Mountain View. This is always a fun event, click here to go online and sign up to join other Rotarians in supporting this great cause.

Announcements:

David Doyle and Sunil Nethisinghe told us about the upcoming Fall Festival and 60th Birthday Celebration for our City. We will hear more about it at our meeting on September 12th. As one of our major fundraiser, we need everyone's support. Check out what's happening at SV-FF.com and click here to volunteer.

Hung Wei announced a special fellowship movie night on August 31st at Blue Light Cinema at 6:45PM for a special screening of the film San Andreas.

New Member Induction:

Membership co-chair, Judy Wilson, announced the induction of Rose Ann Wolpert to our club. Rose Ann's sponsors are Helene Davis, Jayne Ham and Judy Wilson. Her varied background in construction materials, childrens books and community philanthropy made choosing her designation a challenge. We are all excited to welcome her to our club.

Featured Program:

Sandy James introduced our speaker Reed Moulds from Sand Hill partners, who proceeded to give us a little history about Vallco Mall and then announce te plans for the total revitalization including over $40M of support for local schools and a 30 acre park above the development. Over $3B will be spent to make this an amazing property for the citizens of our area. It was an amazing presentation, with far too much detail to describe here.
