Rotary International has been involved in trying to help eradicate Polio from the world since the 80's. Presently there are only 2 countries where transmission of the wild poliovirus still occurs (Afghanistan and Pakistant. 400 million children immunized by Rotary and its partners each year. $1.9 Billion is the amount that Rotary has contributed to polio eradication.
