THE DENVER ART MUSEUM: A REGIONAL AND NATIONAL TREASURE

Our speaker, Debra Gregory, long time docent for the Denver Art Museum will be talking about future exhibits, the workings of the museum, and exciting things that are happening at the museum for all ages.

Debra moved to Colorado in 1976 from Washington state with her husband they've lived in the Littleton area since 1981.

She found a love of art while studying Picasso during her first Art History class in college she's worked as a volunteer at the Denver Art Museum for 14 years, 12 of those as a docent. The museum has grown and changed in those 14 years including the opening of fabulous new building. Visitors from all over the world travel to Denver specifically to see the museum's unique exhibits. The current director is from Germany and there is a new textile curator from Paris. Indeed, the Denver Art Museum is now recognized as a world class art institution.
