All are welcome for the light buffet and easy conversation beginning at 6:15 PM.  The 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM meeting will include a speaker.

Land’s Sake is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit farm that has been connecting people to their local ecology in Weston, MA since 1980. Their focus is tri-fold: environmental education programs, food donation programs, and sustainable land management. Education programs run year-round and are for people of all ages, ranging from tomato canning workshops to week-long summer camps to maple sugaring after-school programs. These community-building programs are focused on connecting people to each other, as well as to the land around them.

Charitable food donations are another fundamental part of Land’s Sake’s history; approximately 40,000 pounds of fresh produce were donated to Boston-area hunger relief organizations in 2017. Land's Sake donates to Rosie's Place, Lovin' Spoonfuls Food Rescue, the Weston Council on Aging, Community Servings, and more. They formed a new partnership last year with the Community Day Center of Waltham, the only drop-in day shelter in the MetroWest.

Land’s Sake runs a successful Community Shared Agriculture Program – CSA members pick up their share of freshly harvested vegetables weekly from June to October. Additionally, all are welcome to visit the Farm stand throughout the summer to pick up daily-harvested vegetables and other local delicacies, such as bread, jam, and cookies. Visit landssake.org to learn more.

Margaret LeLacheur, Development Associate, will discuss all that Land's Sake has to offer for local communities.
