Rotarian Bob Anthony will narrate and answer questions about the pictures in the album titled 'Nigeria Promotes Mental Health and Wellness with Wellesley Rotary'. He visited a dozen schools in five states during November 2019, meeting with hundreds of faculty, parents, and students. He said: Travel in Nigeria was difficult and the street scenes were very foreign to my eyes! Some of the street scenes are pictured in the album.
Rotary provides a curriculum developed by Boston Children's Hospital in a train-the-trainer format and a traveling psychologist whom is in his third year supporting the students. To date, over 2,000 students and their families have learned that mental health is treatable and that 1 in 5 cases are even preventable. The program was funded by the Rotary Foundation and the Rotary Club of Wellesley; it was implemented by the Rotary Club of Ibadan Idi Ishin.
