As planned, we are starting our once a month evening meetings with a special program in honor of Martin Luther King Day.  There is no noon meeting this week. Please REGISTER for this special program below:
 
A panel discussion of the film Brookline: Facing Civil Rights with director Harvey Bravman and some participating citizens of Brookline.
So far, the panelists are Malcolm Cawthorne, Bobbie Knable, Rob Daves, and Paul Epstein.

The viewing fee goes to Brookline Safety Net Program of the Community Foundation. Minimum donation $1 through January 28.

Facing Civil Rights is a documentary film by R. Harvey Bravman. The film first screened at the Coolidge on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in 2019. Six Brookline residents describe their experiences during the Civil Rights Movement and what it was like for African-Americans to move into a segregated Brookline during the 1960s. Also interviewed, Michael Dukakis paints an unvarnished picture of Brookline’s racial and religious climate during this turbulent period.
