John Hill
Pure Water for Haiti

Happily married to Carolyn for 41 years. Father to Hattie (Rotary Exchange Student to France, ’95-’96; Peace Corps volunteer, Senegal, West Africa, ’12-‘14) and Andrew (Air Traffic Controller, Cleveland Center in Oberlin). John joined the Vermilion Rotary Club in July, 2011, and possesses a keen passion for the children and people of Haiti. In fact, this was the most compelling reason why John joined Rotary - to champion a R.F. project for Mirebalais, Haiti in 2013.  He is the immediate past-president of the Vermilion club, current FAC there, and a Paul Harris Fellow.

John's other interests include hiking (he has hiked over 1,800 miles of the Appalachian Trail), road cycling, snow skiing, camping, traveling, and is part of an "Urban Forestry" tree initiative for the City of Vermilion. John is a veteran of the US Air Force ('69-'73), and worked in the agricultural industry for 35 years (sales and marketing).
