180th Fighter Wing Commander

Col. Craig R. Baker is currently the Commander of the 180th Fighter Wing, Ohio Air National Guard, located at Toledo Express Airport, Swanton, Ohio. The 180th Fighter Wing is comprised of the Medical Group, Mission Support Group, Operations Group (F-16 Block 42), and Maintenance Group. As Commander for an Aerospace Expeditionary Force tasked wing, he helps ensure the wing is ready to deploy mission-ready warriors and equipment, anywhere in the world. In addition the 180th Fighter Wing provides air defense for the Great Lakes region in support of NORAD/NORTHCOM taskings.

Col. Baker graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1992 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is a command pilot with more than 2,500 flying hours in the F-22A, F-16C/D, T-38A and T-37.
