Cardiovascular Consultants of Tyler and UT Health Tyler

In honor of Valentine’s Day and American Heart Month, the topic will be UT Health Tyler’s “My Heart First” – a cardiac screening program. It will be presented by Monica Hudspeth, a nurse practitioner for Cardiovascular Consultants and UT Health Tyler.

Monica Hudspeth is a nurse practitioner for Cardiovascular Consultants and UT Health Tyler. She has been caring for cardiac patients since 2007.  She sees patients in both the acute phase of care in the hospital setting and at CVC Clinic for ongoing cardiac management.

She is not only passionate about treating heart disease in the clinical setting, but is also devoted to helping prevent heart disease.  She currently is involved with UT Health's program "My Heart First" which is a cardiac screening program open to the community.

Outside of work, Monica stays busy raising three teenagers. She likes to set an example for her children by eating a heart healthy diet and exercising regularly.  She enjoys playing tennis and running.
