Village Tree Planting

The first batch of 30 bare root trees will be planted on Saturday April 28 from 9 am-noon. 

As partners in the project, I hope that many of of our club members can make it!

Meet on North Street at 9 am, for donuts and a tutorial on tree planting with Ithaca City Forester Jeanne Grace, and then dispatch in groups of 3 to plant.  The planting area is between Lee Rd and Neptune Dr. (Fire Dept).

It would be great if volunteers could bring shovels and yard rakes.  Gloves and good digging shoes are also helpful.

SUNY Cortland students have also volunteered to assist.  I am shooting for about 50 people to make it easy for all.
