Each year, our District Governors visit all 50+ clubs in District 7490, which covers Hudson, Bergen, and Passaic counties. And the last club visit is to the Governor's home club. Nikki's club, The Rotary Club of North Hudson is welcoming her home with a Homecoming Brunch, which will be held at La Reggia on Saturday, April 27 at noon.

This promises to be a festive event, and it will be wonderful to see Governor Nikki, our friends from the North Hudson club, as well as Rotarians from other clubs who will be in attendance.

Please join us in congratulating Nikki on a great year in Rotary, and to wish her well in her new position as Rotary Zone 24 & 32's Public Image Coordinator.

	Rotary's involvement in polio eradication began in 1979 with a five-year commitment to provide and help deliver polio vaccine to six million children of the Philippines. Following similar commitments in other countries, in the early 80's Rotary started planning for the most ambitious program in its history — to immunize all of the world's children against polio, and in 1985 PolioPlus was born. Since then, Rotary’s dedication to the global eradication of polio has remained constant. This year, 2023, marks the 38th anniversary of PolioPlus and more than three decades of progress and challenges the program has faced. But through the efforts of Rotary, over 99 percent of the world’s population lives in regions certified polio-free. The goal of eradication is closer than ever.
