Donna began our meeting on time with the Pledge. Dick gave our invocation. Our guests today were, Dan Wiles the speaker and a friend of Holly’s – Robert Kropczynski.
Announcements: Holly is feeling good about our Wine Event after her last meeting. We would like everyone to make a basket at least a $50 value. Please sign up to help the night of the event. Dick has Shred It well under way. Advertising will begin in early March. Mike reported that He and Jim Logan’s Scotch and cigar night at Park Country Club will be June 24. Mike and Larry have a test drive lunch at The Ken – Ton Elmwood Commons. It will be catered. The program will be the caterer. Student recognition will also be there May 4 and May 11.
Split Club Gary Roberts and Donna missed the Ace.
Fine master Mike Ford took confessions. Paul C played golf with Brian Ahern in Phoenix. No bread. Chuck was in Cancun for 2 weeks. Pat Griffin had Grand Jury duty for 4 weeks. He cannot tell us anything about it. Mike raised a little money by having us all share our weekend adventures.
Mike introduced our speaker, no stranger to Rotary, Dan Wiles. Dan gave us an update on the meals on wheels program. They will have a March for March Meals on wheels. They started a handy man program where they offer to do small odd jobs. If the projects are bigger than their scope, they will recommend contractors they have arrangements with that will offer discounts. The shelters at Ensminger and Mang offer meals to get people together. They serve roughly 40 meals a week from these facilities. Mike Greco from DiPolos on Brighton will serve a meal at the same cost for anyone that couldn’t be around for lunch. It really is a great program we have here in our Town thanks to the team at Meals on wheels.
