Announcements: We will not have a meeting next week in honor of Presidents Day. Rotary Leadership Institute will meet at Niagara-On-The Lake March 21 from 8:00 am to 4:15. Register for classes before 3/13 on line at www.rotary7090. Our Satellite club is having a meeting Thursday at 7:30 at Billegans in North Tonawanda. Our board will meet at Platkas 2/20 at 8:00 am. Holly got the pulse of our clubs’ thoughts about partnering again with the Riviera. The general concession was to do but re negotiate the terms. They were helpful with the posters, the on – line presence, and staffing the evening of the event, however, they did not sell as many tickets as we hoped. We are raising the prices to $45 for advance ticket sales and $50 the night of the event. Brandon was still asking for ads in the council’s calendar. Cathy pitched the Chambers Golf outing this year. It will be Monday June 1 at Transit Valley. Contact Cathy for details at cathy@ken-ton.org. Donna read a letter from Scott Swan that he has transferred his membership to the Buffalo club.

Brandon won the split club again and Paul missed the Ace.

Mike Hettler took confessions. Mike Ford went to the worst Sabres Game ever. Paul C gave him great seats to get a great view of how bad it was. Steve Blass took a new job at NY Life. Joe Arcara is off to Florida for a tad. Paul C is going to Scottsdale. Donna took her grandson to a monster jam in Pittsburg, Holly went to the National Comedy Center in Jamestown. Brandon went to Texas on business.

At this time Cathy introduced Robin Selino from Joe Arcara’s office to give an update on what to expect with some of the changes in 2019 tax laws. Most changes were with pensions. They are trying to come up with incentives to save to offset Social Security. It was a great and informative presentation.
