With the stroke of 20.00 am, President Flaim located in Hotel Elephant in Brixen warmly the members, the ladies present and the guests and the speakers of the evening Roberto Codrioco, renowned artist and assistant to the governor.
Under the rules, the President shall communicate:
- On yesterday Monday, the president of RC South Tyrol were loaded at the headquarters of Caritas Merano to a joint lunch with the officials and the beneficiaries of the joint service project "Integra". The introduction of people with disabilities into the workplace instead of work in sheltered workshops currently comprises time 24 people, is particularly valuable and should be continued;
- In the days from 20 to 22 May 2016 the visit of our partner clubs RC Venice, planned, we will have the opportunity to get to know a tourist unknown Venice and experience for 3 days in joyous mood. The Women, Family and friends are invited to this special event invited (participation rates be announced soon). The friends of RC Venice want to organizational reasons (a Venice hotel booking in May is always a challenge), to obtain the exact number of participants of our club as soon as possible. - Our Governor Giuliano Cecovini has forwarded his letter to the month of April. The letter from the district with the dates for this month and that the governor is attached to the present bulletin;
- On Monday to 18:04:16 will be held at 19.45 am at the RC Bolzano Hotel Laurin, held a lecture our honorary member Don Paolo Renner on Pope Francis. This evening will be held as Inter meeting between our two RC clubs, replacing our club night from 04.19.2016; active participation is desired
- The President delivers Finally congratulations to the friends: 02. Don Renner Paolo 04 Gozzi Mainrad 19 Wachtler Karl, 19. Bergmeister Konrad celebrating in a few days of birth.
After leisurely dinner, presents President Flaim today illustrious guest and speakers, the artist and assistant of our governor, Roberto Codroico (RC Trento) before, of about the interesting topic: "ROBERT SCHERER - VENICE AND THE GLASS SCULPTURES" will speak.
The speaker, has based impressive photographs, presented the resume of known beyond the country's borders South Tyrolean artist. Robert Scherer was born in 1928 in Corzes Venosta, and lived for 15 years in Ala, Trentino. An exceptional artist, who in the period 1960-1966 was living among others in Brixen and art education taught.
Robert Scherer, sculptor painter and graphic artist, has about several thousand works, with typical mythological stories of our region but also created impressive landscapes in his creative life. His teacher and mentor was the Artist Herbert Boeckl.
Among his significant artistic works include the blown glass sculptures medium prove international recognition have attained.
Robert Scherer is among others also co-founder and director of the Fresco School and the School of glass techniques in Bolzano.
The President thanked the speakers and subsequently handed him a small gift was that produced in carefully crafted works in the sheltered workshop "La Locia" of Ortisei.
To 22.15 pm the President ended the interesting evening, thanked everyone and wished a safe journey home.
