Stories From Arlington Cemetery / Interact Club at GJHS

May 6 program will include two speakers:

Intro:  Rotarian Teresa or Cliff Anson

Topic:  "Stories from Arlington," a fascinating look at the cast of American characters who have chosen Arlington National Cemetery as their final resting place.

Bio:  Tom is an authority on the history of 'Arlington' and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and has been a distinguished speaker on the subject for twenty-five years.  Mr. Tudor served as a sentinel, then relief commander, at Arlington's Tomb of the Unknown Soldier from February 1969 to Memorial Day of 1970.  He is the President of the Society of the Honor Guard - Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and is a Member of the Board.  Mr. Tudor has also been a business entrepreneur for over three decades; is a five-term Rotary International Club President; is currently a Board Member of the Pikes Peak Area Rotary Endowment, and is a graduate of the University of Iowa.  He lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado with his wife, and is the proud father of two daughters.

​Topic:  Rejuvenated Interact Club at Grand Junction High School.

Bio:  Cheyanne has an AA from CCCA, a BA from CMU, and an MA from CU, Boulder. She spent 20 years as a counselor, and is a Certified CIII Addiction Counselor for Americorps, Garfield County. She is qualified to teach social studies, special education and ESL.  She has been at Grand Junction High School for seven years and serves as the Mentor for Interact Club and Sources of Strength.
