Dr. Jerry Hendricks

Dr. Hendricks is a Colorado Springs native and is a local optometrist. He previously was a Systems Aerospace Engineer at Ford Aerospace and Loral Command & Control Systems.  He is on the Board of Directors for Safari Club International and Sportsmen for Community.  He is an avid wildlife conservationist and volunteers his time mentoring big game hunts for youths with disabilities and cancer.   Additionally, Jerry and his family deliver meals to terminally ill folks through Project Angel Heart.

EDUCATION:

• 1998 -- Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon
• 1989 -- Bachelor of Science degree in Physics & Mathematics from Colorado State University

• State Licensure: Colorado Certified Therapeutic/Diagnostic Optometrist
• Past President of the Southern Colorado Optometric Society
• Active member of the Colorado Optometric Association and American Optometric Association
• Volunteer Optometric Consultant to School Districts 20 and 49
• Academy District 20 Physicians Advisory Board
• Awarded Gazette’s Best of the Springs every year since 2014

HOBBIES:

• Avid Outdoorsman and enjoys time with his wife, Kelley, and their two daughters who are active with wildlife conservation as well
• Avid hiker and will be hiking the 500 mile long Camino de Santiago in Spain next spring with his daughter
• Ramrod with the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo for over twelve years
