Kirk Young introduced our speaker, Maria Kindberg, Executive Director of JCC Foundation (since August 2020). Ms Kindberg previously served as Dean of Arts at JCC and on the county Legislature. She is also currently serving as President of Reg Lenna Arts Center and is a new member of the Rotary Club of Jamestown.
JCC Foundation was established in 1983 as a 501(c)(3) to develop, maintain and manage endowment to support projects consistent with the mission of the college. In the 2019-2020 year, the Foundation provided over $583k in scholarships and grants to over 300 students, as well as provided emergency operating support to the college. The Foundation has $24 million in assets, consisting of 38 Endowed Tuition Scholarship Funds (Donor Restricted), 23 USA Tuition Scholarship Funds (dedicated to area seniors who graduate in top 25% of class), 35 General Endowment Funds and 77 Pass Through Accounts.

JCC Foundation is currently in the midst of its Annual Appeal (running from 12/1/2020 to 3/31/2021). This year’s appeal is soliciting donations from Alumni, Faculty, Staff, General Public and Retirees. So far the campaign has met five of its six goals.
