"I was born and raised in Southern California, went to high school in Pasadena and graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a        BS in Business Administration.  I then joined the U.S. Army and spent four years in active duty, with two years in Germany and the final year in Vietnam and Thailand, reaching the rank of Captain.  After being discharged, I attended the UCLA Graduate School of Management (now the Anderson School) and earned a MS degree in Information Systems Management.  Following that I worked for five years at IBM in computer systems sales and engineering.
After relocating to Chicago, I entered the field of management consulting where I spent the next 30 years of my career.  I was employed by firms including Booz, Allen and Hamilton, Pricewaterhouse-Coopers, and was a partner at KPMG (formerly Peat Marwick).
I was married in 1975 and with my former wife raised three children in Chicago and Milwaukee.  My eldest daughter is a college educator who lives in Germany with her two children.  My middle daughter is a physician practicing in northern Indiana.  My son is a software engineer working for a spinoff of IBM in southern California.
My wife Patti and I built our home in Saddlebrooke in 2010 and moved here in November of that year.  Over the years we have both been involved in numerous community service organizations, including Kids Closet, Tri-Community Food Bank, Golden Goose and Habitat for Humanity.  For about five years I also worked for HOA2 as member of the Saddlebrooke Patrol."
