Saturday, May 6th was a memorable day for Saddlebrooke Rotary.  Thanks to the outstanding leadership and supportive Rotarians our club participated in 3 different events simultaneously.

San Manuel Revitalization 2nd Annual Chili Cookoff

Again this year Saddlebrooke stepped up as an event sponsor and also entered the highly competitive Chili Cookoff contest.  And not just entered but took away the first prize for Green Chili.  A shout-out to Diane Demeroutis for providing the recipe.

Thank you go out to team leaders Diane Demeroutis and Linda Howard who were joined by John Howard, Bill Demeroutis, Harvey Smith, Roger Bailey, Dave and Jen Baker, Ed Lueck, and Tom Shellenberger.

District 5500 Leadership Training Assembly

At the same time as the Chili Cookoff club leaders were joining the annual District 5500 Leadership Training Program on Zoom.  This year the 4 hour training session was lead by District Governor Elect, Don Jorgesen.  Participants were able to choose from and excellent assortment of breakout sessions.   Those from our club participating were Kristi Halverson, Barbara Barr Bengen, Wendy Guyton, Wanda Bailey, John Oszust, Monica Oszust, and Joe Guyton.

Meanwhile in Oracle

Once again volunteers from Saddlebrooke Rotary joined community residents from Oracle to help clean up trash along American Avenue.  This time our team consisted of Paul Herr, Chris Millar, Ed Treick, Tim Morsani, and Jim Fry (not shown Mollie and Jack Hunter).
