The June 8th meeting featured an excellent presentation by Vicki Cox Golder. Her story of the acquisition of ranches by her late husband, Lloyd Golder, was facinating. Of special interest was the story of Golder's acquisition of the Rail N Ranch (better know as Golder Ranch) and the construction and later demolition of the Lago del Oro dam in the area of the Preserve. Vicki is a highly recognized community servant who serves as President of the Golder Ranch Fire District and board members of numerous community organizations.
Also at the meeting Diane Demeroutis inducted 3 new members, Gail and Tom Fraioli and Jim Taft.
President Gordon Wainwright welcomed back from the Rotary International Convention John and Monica Oszust. Both were excited to share with the members stories of a great convention.
