Here's what you missed at Rotary today.
  • We were chock full of dignitaries. Our guests were Pat Patton, International Services Chair for D5500, Sue Archibald, District Governor Elect, and Barbara Kiernan, guest of Dan Chambers and D5500 Grant Chair.
  • Attending via Zoom were Joe and Wendy Guyton, Ed Treick, Tom Turriff, Ken Castner and Gordon Wainwright
  • There were many Happy Bucks
  • John mentioned that District Conference (Casino Del Sol October 6,7) is now taking registration and urged everyone to attend, especially newcomers to Rotary or our District. It's fun, entertaining, has great keynote speakers and you'll get to meet other Rotarians from all clubs. You can register at MyEventRunner - Event Public Fill (crsadmin.com) . Our club will have a table at the Hall of Friendship attended by Doug May.
  • Dan Watson presented his "Rotary Moment" that happened when he participated in a Wheelchair Project in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
  • Pat Patton was our guest speaker. He summarized several current international projects in our district and how we can participate to "Create Hope in the World"
  • Dave Baker had his number picked for the 50/50 but failed to get the winning card.
  • Next week's guest speaker will be Leo Lawrenson from Shelterbox. Our club will be presenting a check to Shelterbox for $3000.
  • As today's theme was "international", PP Gordon led us in the 4-way test in Canadian.
