REMEMBERING DAN CHAMBERS
 
SaddleBrooke Rotary Member Dan Chambers Passed Away on Thursday, February 29, 2024.  A third generation native Tucsonian,  he was the past Executive Director of the Tucson Conquistadores, the organizers of the Tucson Open Golf Classic.  Dan was also a successful realtor, but above all he was a wonderful friend and husband to Tina.  Dan joined SaddleBrooke Rotary in September 2022, but during his limited time in our club he made a significant contribution.  He served as Sargeant at Arms and immediately volunteered to lead Fundraising Events.  We remember our visit to the Arizona Historical Society, an important Tucson Museum which Dan had served as its President of the Board.  Services will be March 26th at 11:00 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Parish in Tucson.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RUDI FALLER
 
Today we celebrated Rudi Fallers 97th Birthday (March 10).  Rudi’s daughter Jennifer Faller joined us from St. Phillipsburg, Florida.
 
ANNOUNCEMENTS
  1. 13 March – IMPACT bags to pack. 10 AM – 11:30 AM. 
  2. 16 March - SBCO Food Drive at Mountain View. Unload, sort and box collected food. 8AM – 11:00 (or later). We have 29 signed up.
  3. Golf tournament is approaching, (22 April) if you’re not a sponsor or player, we ask for your support of $100 donation – Gordon. Checks payable to Rotary Club of SaddleBrooke Foundation.
  4. The week of 13-20 April is Rotary Week of Service – District requests work that week with a food bank (not limited to one food bank or one day). Other projects are also acceptable. 
  5. 21 March Wine tour -WE WILL NOT HAVE A MEETING THIS WEEK.  PLEASE SEE WANDA IF YOU HAVE NOT SIGNED UP FOR WINE TOUR AND WANT TO GO

  7. 13 April YWCA Camp cleanup. We are partnering with RC Tucson.
  8. Do not forget to bring your plastics.
