At our meeting on June 22, 2023 retiring member John Ruland was recognized as an Honorary Member.
John has been a Rotarian for 43 years. He has served Saddlebrooke Rotary Club in many capacities including President of the Saddlebrooke Rotary Club Foundation, Inc. and as a key person in the development and implementation of the recently completed Nogales, Sonora Clean Water Project. John joined Saddlebrooke Rotary Club in 2013.
John Ruland was awarded a Service Above Self Pin for his ongoing work in behalf of the club. Throughout his years in the club, John has always been on either the Board of Directors for the club or for our foundation. John steps up to help wherever he is needed, whether it be an office, a board member, a judge in the 4 way speech contest, or help with our huge International Grant in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico. We thank you John for all you do!
In September, John and his wife Carolyn will be married 65 years.
