Fellow Rotarians and Friends of the Monadnock Rotary Club

As I write this I am amazed at how much color there still is when I look out to Mt. Monadnock given that it is so late in October.  This has certainly been a "terrific" fall in the Monadnock Region.

Our speaker for the week of October 25, 2015, was our oun Chuck Simpson.  Chuck described the Rotary Park project he did for the Milton Rotary Club.  Chuck's design incorporated many unique features that not only resulted in a beautiful park for the town but really invites people to visit and spend some time in the Park.  One of the unique features was the incorporation of an arch modeled on the arch that Chuck did for the Keene Ashuelot River Park.  One of the other features was the inclusion of "seating" areas since the Park is located across the street from an elementary school.  Parents naturally congregate in the Park when they come to pick up their kid,s when school lets out, and they even linger as the kids run around and work off energy.

The center of the Park recreates the Rotary Wheel and includes bricks that contain sponsor and friends names.

I would encourage everyone to stop by the Park the next time you are in Milton.

Our next meeting will be November 3, 2015, at the Dublin Community Church starting at 7:30 AM.  Our speaker will be Eldon Munson from Scott-Farrar at Peterborough who will be presenting a talk on their new facility.  Chuck Simpson has the Invocation and Wendy White has the Hat.
