Terry Fox Run 2009

We had about 60 volunteers at the Terry Fox Run and they were fantastic. I really enjoyed talking to the women from Hannah House and the fellows from the Innervision this year. Both groups seem to be very happy to have come out and to "give back". The Terry Fox students were from the Link crew which is a leader-ship program. They were enthusiastic and busy at the water table, on the route, pinning the ribbons, and cut-ting the fruit. I'll send them a thank you note, Rosemary's info for joining the Rotaract next year and how many hours they put and tasks undertaken so they can get there volunteer hours in for school. I'll be sure to let their teacher know how well they did as well. The Rotaract led by Rosemary Hong were wonderful. They picked up the fruit and ran up the trail to check that all was well before the runners went out. The Rotary team was out in full force. What a great volunteer team! Thanks and take care, Cleone
