Hello everyone,

I hope all's going well for you, for me things are pretty good. For this update I'll try to briefly resume the several things that passed this month. First I want to acknowledge that while writing this, I only have a mere 85 days left of my exchange. I'll be coming home on July 11th.

This past month has been very busy. During the winter holidays my host family took me skiing, then I spent one week in England with my school, and another weekend I went back to England with my rotary club. With my school, we stayed in host families in Haywards Heath, a town in between London and Brighton. We went to school with our exchange partners and got to see how their classes were. It was really interesting to experience another school system. My host dad (in England) joked that I was doing an exchange while doing an exchange... Exchangeception! We also spent two days in London which was really nice. The week after we had our second mock exams. For my French oral, I improved a lot since the first time as my results were double my mark from last time. The weekend with my Rotary club was at Cockermouth in northern England. I was the only student going. My club visits Cockermouth every few years, it's a tiny town that floods every once in a while. It's interesting because in the Cockermouth rotary club, there aren't any women members; I was quite surprised. The weekend after I had my last Rotex. It was really sad after lunch on Sunday, saying goodbye to some friends I knew I wouldn't see again in the near future. Then there was also the Costume Ball at school last Thursday which was really fun. Today is my first day on holidays, the last of the year before summer. It's nice to be on break because I definitely had some very eventful weeks leading up to this. I also changed host families last Wednesday. This is my last host family.

Sorry for the unorganized update. See you next month.

Sylvia
