President Al thanked Keith Vernon for all his great work on Club PR and the recent Rotary page..featuring Ron Baker from our Club.  Congratulations to Ron on his recently announced upcoming retirement!

Presentations:  2 more Paul Harris Fellows were presented..Jon Dominy now a PH plus 1 and Gary Wiggins a PH plus two. 

Announcements:  PE Jon reported back from last weeks PETS in Seattle. Darrell also attended as a Facilitator.  As a PP, this was Jon's second PETS and he observed the group seemed younger and more equally split between men and women tha his first time around..some seven years ago.
This year, over 800 people form BC, Washington state, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Northern California and Alaska gathered to gain new leadership skills and to hear about our Incoming RI President's inspirational theme "Engage Rotary:Change Lives".  Jon summed up 4 major areas of focus:  

  Membership: attract and engage
  Public image
  Rotary International Foundation
  Polio Eradication..only 2 cases world wide in 2013 so far.(14 in 2012 and 750 in 2011)

Jon hopes to connect with his board soon and also to initiate a survey of Club members.

Search for the Perfect Pint:  Al announced that he has made arrrangements (through Chris and Operation Rednose) for a Home Safe ride home program..service by donation.

Ron has the tickets and asks that we hand in our cash as we go with our sales..to either himself or Jason.

April 6..District PR day..we still need someone to attend from our Club.. Keith is not able to go that day.

Please remember small change for Tom Williams.  We will invite him to join us when we have a collection to pass on to him.  For a couple of weeks .. we will circulate a second bucket to collect separately for Tom.  All donations got to the fight against ALS.

Darrell has tickets for the Vancouver Chinatown fundraiser..March 8th..cost $75.  Dan and Marion are going too.

Julia was our lovely and effective Sgt at Arms.  Some commments:

Julia thanked her team..Steve's group is up for March meetings.  Trudy thanks all the team leaders!

Dan informs us that RWH has a new website..he will send the info.  Next container is to Fiji. We can accept more donations of bikes to go in Steve Gables container of bikes to South Africa.
Dan also thanked Peter Cuthbert for connecting RWH with a welding donation for their new truck.

Guest and fellow Rotarian Chris Wilson commented that Kyle, from Mr Mikes,
was very impressed with our fun and fellowship during the recent Eat Your Heart Out event..and all for a good cause too!

Isy just received a $1000 donation for our kids camp..all monies gratefully accepted!

Welcome back to Berit, who has also announced her recent retirement.  She plans to continue to work in her store part time and will pick Wednesdays as a work day..so she can continue to be active with our Club.  She will be away from may to August again but we will enjoy her company till then!

Welcome to Beata on her first meeting as a Club member!

Good luck to Alan's son in the upcoming Fraser Valley basketball meet..they have been doing really well so far.

Guest Selina reminds us of the coming 3 Diva's Oscar party..tickets are $65 each and procees will go to the three TriCities foundations this year.

Looks like such a great Rotary meeting that I missed and YES it snowed and it was COLD!!!!!  I can't believe how cold it was while volunteering at the Accenture Match Play Golf Tournament.....we froze...and so did the golfers. BUT today it is going to be 60 degrees and by the weekend we are back up to a warm 80 degrees and the Tucson we love...... miss everyone !!!  LB
