Such a great meeting. The air was full of energy ! We had loads of visitors today, Danne Dunlop returned for the second time, Jake Moir from Share came, Joe Witiuk who is of course Steve's dad and Jaquie Boyer a guest of Gaetan's. Trudy brought the Poem, In Flanders Fields, and President Alan read aloud to us all.
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow

and Svend Hansen was our Guest Speaker and you could of heard a pin drop when he was speaking about his experiences during the War.
Sgt. at Arms, Mike told us a story of 3 brothers [his Uncles' and Grandfather] and then everyone when happy dollars were given, told a short story of who they were grateful for. It is amazing how many of us had family members who served in the war.
As usual we had many announcements and by now you all have them on your calendars. Reminder to bring 'socks' for InnerVisions !!! and your Canadian Tire money!!
We had 3 Birthdays this week, with Steve, Lisa and the BIG one for Peter.....
Steve was very happy to have so many $5.00 bills this week, maybe we can all bring $5.00 bills next week....
