Shred-A-Thon 2014

Hi everyone

Well our 4th Annual Shred-a-Thon was again a huge success.  We had fabulous weather and a great turnout from grateful citizens of our Community for this service.

I would like to thank Gaetan for the photos taken and for a great set up this year.  Jim, Peter & George for directing traffic.  Julie for handing out cards for Best Shredding, Vida who was in her glory in the dumpster pulling out boxes and breaking down all the file boxes.  Al brought our Rotary Tent and our Rotary banner and to Al, Dan, Peter, George, Jon, & Gaetan for helping dump all the citizens' paper into the bins for shredding.  Angie was there to direct traffic as well and at times her British accent seemed to 'confuse' those driving by.....;o)

I know that most of you in the club put up the Shred-a-Thon posters in your business' and in the buildings where you live.  The Tri-City News, the Now and the City of Port Moody we amazing with their support also.  Thank you.

This project is so much fun and we make good money for the 4 hours we are there.

We will announce the total on Wednesday....let's say the truck 'again' was bulging !!!!

Wait.....I can't keep a secret...

I thought this was interesting information:

In 4 years we have Shredded 36,116 lbs of paper

We have worked for 16 hours

We have made $11,179.41

What a great and fun Fundraiser......Good job Rotary Club of Port Moody !!!!!
