Darrell introduced Claire MacLean from Share.  Years ago our very own Darrell was the CEO of Share and he is delighted to see how Share has gone forward with all their programs.

Complex mission for 6 years.
Share does the Food Bank, Rent Bank, affordable housing, legal Advocacy, Employment Programs, Mental Health Programs, youth and senior Programs, Disability Programs, English Language Programs, Early and Middle Childhood Programs.

Help with the food bank is 50 percent up this year, and also inflation costs.

Lot’s of Seniors needing help.
Tainted Drug supplies with the Youth.
Tri-Cities Children center opened on StJohn’s Street in March 2022, 
Concert Properties opened March 2023. Which is subsidized housing.
Self selection has been started at the food bank, including fresh fruits and vegetables.
Teams set up to help people in need.
15% of funding is from the local community.
People always need help for food and mental health programs.
Spread the word that Share is very much in need of extra help.
Foundry Hubs for people 12-24 years with Mental Health and other issues.
Share Recognizes an Award for our Rotary Club of Port Moody.
Will host an event on the next year.
Last but very important, we need another shelter in our Community due to a number of Housing Problems.

Join the Rotary Club of Port Moody, Noon's Creek Hatchery and the City of Port Moody to protect our parks and green spaces by removing invasive plants in the green belt at Thurston Terrace. We will work to tackle a large patch of English Ivy that is spreading through the forest. Meet at the trail entrance at Noons Creek Drive and Cunningham Lane. Physical work is required and is off-trail. Wear sturdy, closed-toe footwear and clothes that can get dirty. This event will take place rain or shine - dress for the weather. Gloves, eye protection and tools will be provided by the Environment and Parks Department. Please bring your own water bottle. There is street parking along Noons Creek Drive and is about a 1-5min walk to the meeting spot. Meet at the trail entrance at Noons Creek Drive and Cunningham Lane. Physical work is required and is off-trail. Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes or boots and clothes that can get dirty. This event will take place rain or shine - dress for the weather. Gloves, eye protection and tools will be provided by the Environment and Parks Department. Please bring your own water bottle.

Participants 14 years and under must be accompanied by an adult.
