Search for the Perfect Pint 2015

Congrats to the Rotary Club of Port Moody on another very successful 'Search for the Perfect Pint'! 

It is great to see the amazing support from our outstanding Port Moody and neighbouring businesses, including; event sponsors St. James's Well and Westwood Honda, great food from The Burrard Public House, Onyx Steakhouse & Lounge Thrifty Foods, Orrange Kitchen and Bar, Pasta Polo and the beer flavoured Ice Cream from Rocky Point Ice Cream (yum).

Of course, congrats to all the breweries in attendance, especially our 2 local breweries, both whom greatly support our community Yellow Dog Brewing & Moody Ales !

I want to thank all those that helped with SFPP.  It was another very successful evening.

 

I will try to remember all the people that helped out.

 

The following people worked during the entire event - no opportunity to taste the beer

 

Peter sold 50/50 tickets - approx. $1200 - Well Done

Linda, Gayle, Naomi and Isabella stayed at the check in desk

Trudy guarded the draw prizes

Gary was our fill in MC - Mike needed to go back to the office

Tom  did door security

Dan Dunlop and Brian delivered the ice

Cleone helped at the desk and did customer surveys

 

Many people arrived early to help with set up and stayed late to help with the cleanup.  We were all done with the cleanup by 10 pm.  Many hands make light work.

Well done to the club.  Final totals are not yet in but we will have made over $20,000 on the evening.  Probably be a couple of weeks before all of the money totals are ready.

 

Thanks to the organizing committee, especially Peter who took on the leadership role with Jason leaving and who stepped up and did the liquor license at the last minute.

 

Everybody should be very proud.  The community appreciates the work that went into the event.
